📿 Parivartini Ekadashi Katha (कथा)

English Translation

Lord Krishna told Yudhishthira, "O King! The Ekadashi of Bhadrapada month's Shukla Paksha is called 'Parsva Ekadashi'. It is also called 'Parivartini Ekadashi'."

"On this day, Lord Vishnu changes His Parivartini (side). He remains in yoganidra for four months and turns once in between."

In ancient times, in the kingdom of King Bhadrasva, lived a poor Brahmin named Sudharma. He was very devoted but extremely poor.

One day he heard that observing Parivartini Ekadashi fast removes all sufferings and grants special grace of the Lord.

The Brahmin observed Parivartini Ekadashi fast with complete devotion. He stayed awake all night remembering Lord Vishnu's Vamana avatar.

Due to the power of the fast, his poverty was removed. The king gave him donations and he became wealthy. His life was filled with happiness.

Since then, this Ekadashi is considered to bring positive changes in life. Whoever observes this fast experiences good transformations in their life.
