👑 राजा सुकेतुमान की कथा (Story of King Suketuman)
प्राचीन काल में सुकेतुमान नामक एक राजा था जो बहुत धर्मप्रिय और न्यायप्रिय था। उसके पास सारी सुख-सुविधाएं थीं, लेकिन उसे संतान का सुख प्राप्त नहीं था। राजा और रानी दोनों इस बात से बहुत दुखी रहते थे।
एक दिन राजा ने अपने पुरोहित से पूछा कि वे संतान प्राप्ति के लिए क्या कर सकते हैं। पुरोहित ने उन्हें पौष पुत्रदा एकादशी का व्रत करने की सलाह दी। राजा और रानी ने पूरी श्रद्धा से यह व्रत किया।
🌺 दिव्य आशीर्वाद (Divine Blessing)
व्रत के प्रभाव से भगवान विष्णु प्रसन्न हुए और उन्होंने राजा को दर्शन दिए। भगवान ने आशीर्वाद दिया कि उन्हें जल्द ही एक तेजस्वी पुत्र की प्राप्ति होगी। कुछ समय बाद रानी गर्भवती हुई और उन्होंने एक सुंदर और गुणवान पुत्र को जन्म दिया।
यह पुत्र आगे चलकर एक महान राजा बना और प्रजा का कल्याण किया। तभी से यह एकादशी "पुत्रदा एकादशी" के नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुई।
🦢 द्रुव महर्षि की कथा (Story of Sage Druva)
महर्षि द्रुव की पत्नी के साथ भी ऐसी ही समस्या थी। वे वर्षों से संतान की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे थे। नारद मुनि की सलाह पर उन्होंने पौष पुत्रदा एकादशी का व्रत किया। इस व्रत के कारण उन्हें एक ज्ञानी और तपस्वी पुत्र की प्राप्ति हुई।
English Translation
King Suketuman's Story: In ancient times, there was a righteous and just king named Suketuman who had all comforts but lacked the joy of children. Both king and queen were deeply saddened by this.
One day the king asked his priest what they could do for child conception. The priest advised them to observe Pausha Putrada Ekadashi fast. The king and queen observed this fast with complete devotion.
Divine Blessing: Due to the effect of the fast, Lord Vishnu was pleased and gave darshan to the king. The Lord blessed that they would soon have a brilliant son. Later the queen conceived and gave birth to a beautiful and virtuous son.
Sage Druva's Story: Sage Druva's wife had similar problems. On Narada Muni's advice, they observed Pausha Putrada Ekadashi fast and were blessed with a wise and austere son.

Morning Preparation
Wake up at dawn, take bath, wear clean clothes. Clean the puja area and spread a clean cloth. Place Lord Vishnu's picture facing east.
Altar Setup
Place kalash with water and mango leaves. Light a ghee lamp and incense. Offer fresh flowers, especially tulsi leaves which are dear to Lord Vishnu.
Invoking Lord Vishnu
Chant "ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय" and invite Lord Vishnu to accept your prayers. Offer water, sandalwood paste, and flowers.
